About Us

Inception:

Taraiwa was founded in 2021 by 6 University students who all agreed that commuting to Uni sucked.

Not only was the commute time consuming and frustrating but the cost of fuel and parking was growing increasingly unaffordable.

The frustration lead the 6 uni students to look at ways that they could commute with less stress and in a more cost effective way.

They started to carpool and realised that this was the solution to their problem, but how could they help all the other uni students? from their Taraiwa was born.

What where about:

Taraiwa is all about bringing students together.

Taraiwa isn't just a platform to connect students for the sake of enabling cheaper and less stressful commuting, it is also about crating a safe and friendly community in which students can meet new people and make connections and new friendships.
